I’m working on a series of postcard size illustrations involving cars with their engines running. A few of them will go to some of my old .post due. members, but if you’re interested in receiving one in the mail or want to suggest a different car to draw, just leave a comment. See more cars below.
I did some illustrations for a video a couple months back and this is the teaser that was created from them for the project. I think it would’ve been better if I was asked to do a little more cityscape, but it turned out alright anyhow and it was fun to work on.
Got some prints shipped out to FX18 in Taos, New Mexico last week. Sarah and I stopped in while we were in Taos last month for our anniversary and they had some cool stuff. Next time you’re out that way stop in and pick a couple up, or you can always buy some in my shop.
Back in the begining of the baseball season, Josh and I made a bet on the Sox and Cubs. The bet goes like this…
Josh will buy me a gift certificate to White Castle in the amount of difference between Sox/Cubs wins if the Cubs do better, and I buy one for him to Taco Bell if the Sox do better than the Cubs. If they both make the playoffs, we’ll up the ante.
It pains me to say that he is up $10 right now. At least Tyler Colvin turned out pretty solid and Marlon Byrd is the best signing Hendry has had in 10 years.
The super insanely talented, AJ Fosik has a show at the David B. Smith Gallery here in Denver starting this weekend. It runs until August 14th, but I’ll be checking it out sometime on Sunday when I get back from a weekend of rafting and camping on the Arkansas River.
I really dislike St. Louis pretty much because of the Cardinals, but I absolutely love the posters that John Vogl is creating under the moniker, The Bungaloo out there.
The work of Denver artist, Elena Stonaker just gets better and better every time I see something new from her. Her ink washes and textures used in the newer pieces are really fantastic and I especially dig the colors used in some of the earlier work from her Doppelganger Dreams Exhibit last year. I’m hoping to add some of her work to my collection sometime soon and maybe meet up at Lakeside Amusement Park again for some more coaster rides!
Birds of a Different Feather is a new piece I finished and is now up for sale in my Society 6 shop. Thinking about making another version with all cut paper.
