The super insanely talented, AJ Fosik has a show at the David B. Smith Gallery here in Denver starting this weekend.  It runs until August 14th, but  I’ll be checking it out sometime on Sunday when I get back from a weekend of rafting and camping on the Arkansas River.

Elena Stonaker

Published by cgregori under artist i dig

The work of Denver artist, Elena Stonaker just gets better and better every time I see something new from her. Her ink washes and textures used in the newer pieces are really fantastic and I especially dig the colors used in some of the earlier work from her Doppelganger Dreams Exhibit last year. Nathan Manire

When I first came across the watercolors of Nathan Manire I instantly thought of one of my favorite artists, Chuck Close.  The vibrant colors in the pointillist style Manire uses make for some gorgeous portraits. I also dig the ink and water color illustrations.

I came across the drawings of Frédéric Noël and really like his paper plates series of images.  It’d be great to see them cooked onto some real plates.

A ton of people are familiar with Josh Keyes and his insanely mad illustration skills, and Sarah and I had a chance to catch his group show at the Limited Addiction Gallery in Denver in 2007.  Needless to say we were blown away by his paintings and the installation he had there, but I’m even  [...]

Sarah and I headed over to IndyInk last night for The Gift of Getting show where everything was under $100 to promote giving art as a gift during the holiday season.  I got myself two gifts while we were there and they are these fantastic prints by Jaime Molina.
