Birds of a Different Feather is a new piece I finished and is now up for sale in my Society 6 shop. Thinking about making another version with all cut paper.

I just received my Beatles illustration from the super fantastic artist, David Penela out of Portugal.  His line work is insanely great and the end result in his pieces are just amazing.  He even tossed in an extra drawing of me that you can see after the jump.

Walton Creel grew up in Alabama surrounded by guns and now creates some stunning art with those guns.  The images are created by shooting bullets into reinforced aluminum to get the silhouette effect of the animal.  Awesome. Via: Cool Hunting

Andy Warhol’s 1962 silkscreened image of 200 life-size one dollar bills sold at Sotheby’s in New York for 43.8 million dollars yesterday.  It last sold at auction 23 years ago for a then record of $385,000.  Not a bad return on your investment.

I made a set of 3.5″ x 3.5″ alphabet blocks with a gel transfer for my new niece, Claire.  They need a little work and I need to get a little better with it, but they turned out pretty good for the first go at them.

Sarah and I got married two weeks ago and it was a fantastic time with family and friends… wish most of them didn’t have to head back to the midwest. Our photographer for the night was Adam from a.h.p. photo who did an amazing job and his wife Imthiaz even showed up at the end [...]
