The music video for the track When I am King by Tim Knol is absolutely fantastic. Its stop motion and was done entirely using pyrogprahy (soldering images onto plywood) and directed by Sverre Fredriksen. You can see the process of making it as well.

Every week our printers get calibrated and the sheets always get tossed when they are finished. I grabbed one out of the trash and made a quick little alphabet with it. I’m saving all of them now and will have some much larger to show sometime soon.

The Horseback #1 gel transfer is now up in the shop! Its a 7.25 x 7.25 piece of pine wood with a tung oil coating.

When I first came across the watercolors of Nathan Manire I instantly thought of one of my favorite artists, Chuck Close. The vibrant colors in the pointillist style Manire uses make for some gorgeous portraits. I also dig the ink and water color illustrations.

Sam’s Garage is a Denver based studio that does some great print and web design, but what I absolutely love are the furniture and bent plywood pieces that Sam creates… especially the screen printed lamps and briefcases. It takes a great deal of talent to create the work Sam produces and I hope I can afford to commission one of those platform bed frames from him one day.
