12.20.06 - Blizzard

The Nuggets just got Iverson, Bush thinks we need more troop to "win", and it's snowing out here. Colorado blizzard '06. We're out of firewood at our place but the heat still works and there is a frozen burrito and garlic bread in the freezer so there is no need to worry about our safety. Not sure yet about how all this will affect traveling on Friday but Sarah and I are hopefully going to be back in the area that night eating aurelios and relaxing for a week. We head back to Colorado on the 29th and are going to the Andrew Bird / Devotchka show at the Ogden in Denver. New Years Eve will either be spent up in Red Feathers at a cabin or in Denver watching Mr. Blotto play at the Soiled Dove. If your going to be around the 22nd - 29th we should get together.

9.20.06 - Bush Pilot

9.16.06 - Woody Creek

Pictures of the J. Honn visit are up.

9.4.06 - Pollock

I have a few pictures of the Gallery 101 show at the MoCA where .post due. is being show for the next couple of months here. There was a good turnout of people, nice compliments on the cards and bag and since we were in the show we got free beer and wine.

8.23.06 - Revenge from Mars

As you can see from the picture I am the proud owner of Revenge from Mars the pinball machine. I picked it up from work for a bargain price and probably won't stop playing it until it falls apart or Sarah chops it to pieces. It turns out, Sarah has been wanting a dinner table for quite some time and the pinball machine wasn't what she had in mind. Her idea is to have a place to put food other than on our laps. But dinner tables don't light up and have ramps on them so we just don't have room for it right now. Feel free to send any pinball machine warming gifts you think are appropriate.

.post due. has a new site up and it is accessible from www.postdue.com. Also, the first showing of the .post due. mail bag and postcards series I will be at the Gallery 101 Exhibit, exploring new media, new ideas and contemporary issues at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Fort Collins running from August 29th – October, 21st. If you are in the area in the next couple months I ask you go check it out.

In two weeks our good friend Josh is coming out for a long overdue vacation. On the agenda is going to Aspen to find Woody Creek Tavern and the Doctor's compound, camping, Utah to take in the canyon lands and go to Arches N.P., camping, Estes Park and back to Fort Collins.

7.8.06

Got pictures from our trip to South Dakota up if your interested in checking them out.

6.30.06 - Wind Cave

Sarah and I are taking off tomorrow morning to South Dakota. Located about 5 hours north of us, we are going to check out wind cave and take the bikes up to ride on Michelson Trail.
August 1, will be the release of Post Due, vol. 1. It will be a five postcard set with a limited run of 25. All the postcards will be hand screened as well as parts of the bag that will also be screened. That's right, if you are one of the lucky few to get your hands on vol. 1 you get the five postcard set sent to you in a miniature mail bag. The bags are still in production... in the living room but the picture is how they are looking now.
The cubs are the worst team in baseball right now and I feel horrible for D. Lee who has to come off the DL from such a shitty wrist injury to such a shitty team. The loss to the White Sox today gave them a total of 1 home win in the month of June. That in turn gives them the worst home record in a single month in the history of the Chicago Cubs. I hope people stop going to the games so Mark Cuban can buy them and bring a little excitement to it. Minor league managers are making Dusty Baker look like the Beave lately.

6.6.06 - Hometown

Sarah and I are heading to the midwest this weekend for my cousins wedding and plan on making a trip to the city on Friday. A couple things that will definitely happen while there are: Going to a boutique Sarah is in on West Roscoe called Cinnamon, and going to a bar. BrightBlack Morning Light is also playing a show at the Empty Bottle that Josh mentioned and thinks will be worth while seeing. If your into going to a bar, seeing a show or just walking around the city let me know.

6.3.06 - Sketchbook

Put some new sketches up today if you are interested in checking them out.

5.30.06 - Homosexal

This truck was parked across the street of Sarah's work the other day.
What in the hell is wrong with people these days? Can we not spell homosexual the right way anymore? Could this be the new Jeb Bush '08 campaign vehicle? It most likely is some kind of Republican campaign vehicle but whoever it is driving it should get a swift kick to the head... I don't see how much more damage a kick to the head could do to such a horribly functioning brain already.
The way that the country is going right now indicates that the man who drives this car has enough hate and prejudice towards others to become the next president of the united states. And the friends he has that seem to be excellent hunters can be his cabinet.

5.29.06 - White Water Summer

Sarah and I made it out camping on Saturday with some friends up around Pingree Park. It was a great day to get out of town for the night, sit around a fire, drink a few beers and comb through each others hair to make sure a tick didn't find it's way in. The last thing you want to do is catch the Colorado Tick Fever which can give you a flu for a few days, the chills and pain behind your eyes... especially with May and June being the months with the highest number of infections. On the way down the canyon the Sunday afternoon we caught up with Scott right as he was doing his Kevin Bacon in White Water Summer impersonation and caught a ride with him down the river on his raft.

Watched the movie Me and You and Everyone We Know last night. I liked it.

5.15.06 - The Weave

Today was my official return to the land of the walking dead... work. It was tough to get back into the swing of having a nine to five after my 1/6 of a year off where I caught up on sleep, did some freelance and banged on the drums occasionally. The job is with an ad firm in Denver right down the road from Mile High Stadium and the Six Flags. So not only do I have to drive an hour long commute every morning and evening to and from Ft. Collins, but I have to see bumper stickers on the way that say "If God Isn't A Broncos Fan, Why Are Sunsets Orange & Blue?" or "Marilyn Musgrave '06". It makes for a longer ride for everyone with people like that.

Also, the Cubs and Sox are playing this weekend. I put down a huge bet of $5 to my brother that the Cubs will take the series and if other Sox fans out there want to make a wager let me know... I may or may not take the bet. Some new pictures up.

4.14.06 - Spotted

Last night I saw Buckethead at the Aggie and drew a picture of him this morning for Illustration Friday. Check it out here.

4.10.06

A big thanks to all the people who showed up at the art show on Friday and bought some of the great art that was on display. Thanks to Wil and Studio 12 for putting on the event and the musicians that played.
After celebrating a successful night of selling prints, we made our way to the bar for a couple drinks. The couple drinks turned into a few drinks and all of a sudden we were in no condition to go across the street for the monofog show that I had been looking forward to. We did see a two man band from Oklahoma called The Hosty Duo that once you could get past their dirty Oklahoma accents the music wasn't that bad.

This is a poster I thought about before bed the other night for Denver band the Hot Iqs.

4.3.06 - Is Adam Dunn the worst left fielder ever?

The Chicago Cubs got on track today for an attempt at an undefeated season with a 16-7 pounding of the Cincinnati Reds. It became obvious by the 6th inning that the Cubs will most likely be winning the World Series this year. Not to say we didn't get a lot of help from Adam Dunn this game who dropped pretty much everything that went near him. After all those Old Styles it is time for a nap.

4.3.06 - Clean stove

Going on week 4 of being unemployed and all I've got to show for it is a couple interviews, some well rested eyes and a clean stove. This Friday I will be part of an art show at the Armstrong Hotel in Ft. Collins, CO. If you are in the area it is advised that you come to the event, support the arts and listen to the live music.

3.16.06 - new site, no job

It feels like it has been a long month since last posting something. A week after getting back from L.A. Sarah and I had the treat of a week long visit from Mike "Hollywood" Kneeland, Cpt. Tom & Robyn. The same weekend they came into town I won a Best in Show award during the Human Organics art show that had over 50 artists from around the country and a hilarious painting called the Jugs of War. I would have voted for that image if I was a judge. It was a painting of George W. being breast fed by Condoleeza in front of the White House. The prize I got is having the image published on the cover of Health & Wellness magazine published out of Colorado on the Sept./Oct. issue this year.

Comments on the new design are appreciated. I am trying to get more freelance work while I search for a job and thought I should clean it up a bit. I may be in a show coming up in April at the Armstrong Hotel. It would be a show put on by Studio 12 with five artists including myself, live music and donations going to non-profits. I will keep you updated when I find out more about it.

2.6.06 - L.A. riots in the O.C.

Went out to L.A. last Thursday to get together with the likes of Drew, Adam and the domino master Jay. The weekend started with me landing in LAX on thursday around 7:15pm and then heading down to Orange County to try and get on that show they tape out there with Drew and Jay. No luck with the show but we did meet up with Adam and a couple of his friends at Cubano Pete's. Much of the night was lost in a haze of mohito's, beer, dancing and then noticing that I was the only one dancing. Around 2am I head outside to find everyone and to my surprise they were in the car already watching a brawl start up in the middle of the road. I don't recall much of the fight but Drew had it on his phone the next morning to help job the memory.
The next morning (2pm) Drew and I headed to Hollywood to check out his work, otherwise known as the building the first A-Team episode was shot, and to also check out the sites. Some of the sites were homeless people, chinese mann theatre, the sign, walk of stars, and all sorts of randomness. We ended up back in Hollywood for some drinks later that night to hang out with Jess Webber and some of her friends for the evening. After the bar closed down we headed back to the apartment to watch the Warriors which is a classic gang war movie. On the way to the apartment we made a stop at what is now the #2 fast food burger joint in CA called Fatburger. It was no In-n-Out burger but it was fantastic for 3am.
Saturday it was a day at Venice Beach. It seemed like everyone was sitting around the beach all day selling their goods, reading palms, juggling knives or selling pit bulls. It was a good day to walk around and check out the waves... to bad it was a bit to cold to try out surfing.
The flight back we were given free cable and headphones to watch the super bowl. Not only was the game horrible but the commercials were even worse.

a few pictures here

Someone please tell me who it is sitting next to Emanuel Lewis, a.k.a. Webster in this photo.

Is it Chris Tucker? Emmitt Smith? Danny Bonaduce? There is a bet going on with Scott right now that he is bound to lose. You can guess which one he thought it was.

1.30.06 - Not so much with the knuckles

This week I received exclusive photos of G.W. & Jack Abramoff during their meetings together from my deep throat in the administration. They look little more intimate then the grip and grin style photo Bush is saying they were.

Exxonn mobile has posted a $10.7 billion dollar profit during the last quarter. The same quarter we were paying $2.50-$3.00 a gallon. What the hell is that? Exxon’s profit for the year were $36.1billion, bigger than the economies of 125 of the 184 countries.

1.25.06 - Electric Slide

So we got our electric bill the other day just like we do every month but this is the only one that had me on the verge of my first heart attack. It was double what the previous months had ever been and I couldn't figure out what we were using that changed the price so much ...until I went to the bathroom with the heat light on. We have one of those hotel style heat lights that makes your skin burn while your standing under it... and it is wonderful. But I never started using it on a consistent basis until last month, and by consistent I mean every time I was in the bathroom it would be on burning my skin to a strange orange color. To me it is the equivalent to putting on a shirt that is fresh out of the dryer. Now the time has come to stop using the heat light just to brush my teeth and start using candles for everything. It will serve as light for all areas and also as an air freshener for the bathroom. I'm not sure how long this will last.

Also, post due received over 30 new members in the past 36 hours. Thanks to all that have been signing up and you should be getting a postcard soon.

1.21.06 - post due

The post due collective is still growing and if you would like to join you can sign up your email and address at the post due page. Get involved and make a postcard a month to send someone around the world. We are still waiting on several from the Chicago land area from the likes of rad philip and filament.

1.12.06 - The Slopes

My brothers Paul and Kevin came out for a visit last week. We spent the week relaxing, hiking, skiing and free style battle rapping anywhere we could. They thought it would be funny if they brought every piece of clothing they had with the White Sox logo on it... they were also lucky not to be burned alive while wearing it. Saturday we went to Winter Park and strapped a pair of skis on Paul's feet for the first time ever. It was also Sarah's first time skiing which was pretty comical at first but by the end of the day they looked like they were in the 10th Mtn. Division going down the slopes with 80 lb. packs on their backs. You can see the photos here.

Tonight I'm going to see Medeski, Martin & Wood at the Aggie with one of Scott's free tickets.

I found Eric Greer's artwork at a gallery in town a couple months ago and can't get enough of it. His work is very surreal and reminds a lot of people of Dali. He sells prints of his work framed for $20 and they are limited to 100. Check out his incredible art here.

1.4.06 - Need an alignment

After 14 days, four trips to the airport in five days, 2,800 new miles on my car (2,000 from driving round trip to Homewood), I have a new appreciation for sleep. It all started when Sarah and I took a leisurely drive through Nebraska and Iowa last Wednesday for the holidays to spend time with the families and friends, only to turn around the day after Christmas and come back to Colorado. Shaltoni and Mitoholi took the drive back with me at 6 am and stayed for a few days. But Christmas night was when we got a special treat when Josh and my Dad won their eighth game of pool in a row and Josh slammed the stick on the ground, did a tap dance around it, and attempted to light it on fire. Luckily the zippo was out of fluid and he couldn't get it lit. At least that was how I remembered it. Also on hand to witness this was Drew, Adam, Johnny, Hank, Scott and his shit in the basement dog Ozzie, Beth, Mike, Jared, Beth and the one and only J-King. The get together broke up around 2 am and the trip started after a quick four hour nap and a stop at 3 Brothers restaurant. A tip for anyone with a hangover and a 1,000 mile drive ahead, don't go to a restaurant that filled with crazy old men smoking cigarettes and constantly stirring their coffees. The smell alone will have you in the bathroom instantly.

For New Years we headed to Pingree Park which is one of CSU's campuses that a friend Josh works at in the winter usually by himself. So it was like being at camp with no supervision and a pinata filled with candy. All day Sunday was spent on the couch watching hours and hours of t.v. and eating.
