10.21.07 - Canyonlands
This
is a sketch I did today of a canyon in Utah. I was in the Canyonlands
a couple years back and loved it. One night we camped right beside a ledge
that dropped to the canyon floor and this image reminds me of that camp
spot. pictures from the trip.
The actual size of the image is 11" x 8". Below are a few more
sketches from the past couple days. Lots of animals in shirts and ties
lately... I'd give them a job.

A few new postcards I made tonight. I am going to donate one of them to the Visual Aids benefit at the James Cohan Gallery in New York. So I'm not sure which one to send and wouldn't mind hearing which one you think should go. You can find more information on the show in the .post due. events section.
10.3.07 - NLCS
My only hope is that the Rockies and the Cubs both advance so I can see the Cubs roll over the Rockies on their way to a World Series Championship.

Previous illustrations for Daytrotter were of Arcade Fire & Paul McCartney and the latest are of the musician Caribou (below) and the band Sean na na.

Sarah and I are moving to Denver on Monday. Send gifts.
6.30.07 - Grace Face
The other weekend my sister, her husband Mike and their pretty little lady Grace were in Boulder for a wedding and Sarah and I got to go babysit for the night. You can see some photos here.
5.13.07 - Day After
Day After is an art/music group that gets together weekly to create. A site will be coming soon that will be updated on every Sunday with the art and music that is created on that night. 4.4.07 - Cubs Win
Monday marked the start of a new year with the baseball season starting up. I have a couple of predictions this season:. The Cubs will win the World Series, Ron Santo will sneak into the Hall of Fame and hang a homemade plaque on the wall, and someone will run on the field and rip those horrible Under Armor advertisements off the left and right field wall. But no advertisement deal this year is as lame as the one the White Sox have with 7/11 where they will now start every game at 7:11pm. It will give all those Sox fans enough time to cut a fresh pair of jeans and t-shirt into shorts and a tank top before the game.
Paris in Peril played a show last night at CB Potts.
3.25.07 - The Charco Broiler
Last weekend our good friend Drew took a trip out to Colorado to visit and take in some fresh air. Fresh air turned out to be pretty foreign to him after coming in from L.A. We did some drinking on the river, hiking around Estes Park, skiing in Winter Park, and hiking around Red Rocks before he made his way back.
Yesterday Sarah, Scobey, Sonya and I went to the second annual Zine Fest at the Andeken Gallery in Denver. There were a lot of great comics, DIY books and music for free or a couple bucks. A couple of the favorites were the King-Cat by John Porcellino and The Gut by Zack Kopp.

On Friday I became an Uncle when my twin sister and her husband Mike had their first child. This beautiful little ladies name is Grace Kathryn and I am heading back to Chicago in May to meet her ...... and catch a cubs vs sox game at Wrigley. Can't wait.
2.11.07 - Other Chris
I saw the other day that Keith Urban is suing a painter who also is named Keith Urban and owns Keith Urban dot com. It made me wonder if there was anyone out there that I can sue for using my name to further their own career.... and there is. All I can tell from his website is that he makes stickers and there is no way to get in contact with him. chrisgregori.com
